PT Pindad and Maruss Pursuing Munitions and Small Arms Manufacturing
JAKARTA/KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesia’s PT Pindad and Malaysian company Maruss Sdn Bhd plans to cooperate in the manufacture of munitions and small arms and has signed an agreement towards that end sin support of the ASEAN defence industry collaboration.
The joint collaboration evolving from this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will pave the way for both companies to mutually support each other’s manufacturing requirements in terms of complete products and also components, a company statement said today.
The MoU inked at the Indo Defence Expo & Forum here is in support of the ASEAN defence industry collaboration initiative.

- Contract manufacturing of complete small arms manufacturing;
- Contract manufacturing of components for small arms ammunition;
- Providing technical knowhow and advice;
- Supply of primer percussion;
- Supporting Maruss’ needs for other calibres of ammunition;
- Supply of specific rifle components; and
- Expansion of potential markets for products from PT Pindad such as small arms, pyrotechnics, large calibre and demolition items
