MALAYSIAN firm Global Turbine Asia (GTA) has signed a contract with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Europrop International (EPI) at the Paris Airshow 2025, ensuring sustained technical support for the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s (RMAF) Airbus A400M fleet.

Under this agreement, GTA will continue to support maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for the TP400-D6 engines that power the RMAF’s strategic airlift capability. The contract secures the ongoing supply of spare parts and by event services, including MRO and supporting the operational readiness and reliability of Malaysia’s A400M aircraft.

This collaboration builds on GTA’s established relationship with EPI and positions GTA as the only non-European company authorised to supply and deliver TP400-D6 service support to the RMAF’s A400M aircraft, to perform Level 1 and Level 2 (on-base) maintenance for its TP400-D6 engines.

The contract signing was witnessed by Malaysia’s Minister of Defence, Mohamed Khaled Nordin. The agreement was formalised by GTA executive chairman Nonee Ashirin Mohd Radzi, and EPI president Catherine Poincheval.

Nonee said: “This partnership demonstrates the importance of strategic collaboration between OEMs and local Malaysian MRO providers. By combining Europrop International’s engineering expertise with Global Turbine Asia’s service capabilities, we are committed to support the RMAF’s operational requirements while advancing Malaysia’s position in the aerospace industry.”

Poincheval commented: “Our partnership with GTA marks a significant step in strengthening support for the TP400-D6 engines and the RMAF’s A400M fleet.”
