Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference Concludes In Malaysia
MALAYSIA successfully held the Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference (IPACC), Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS) and Senior Enlisted Leaders Forum (SELF) 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. Serving as co-host alongside the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), this edition marks the third time Malaysia has hosted the event, previously hosting the Pacific Armies Management Seminar (PAMS) and the Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference (PACC) in 2016 and 2021 respectively.
The event was officiated by Malaysia’s Deputy defence minister Adly Zahari representing the defence minister Khaled Nordin, accompanied by the Malaysian Army Chief General Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan and USARPAC Commanding General Gen Ronald Clark.
The event gathered 12 army chiefs, including the US Army Chief of Staff Gen Randy George, Australian Army Chief Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, British Army Chief of the General Staff Gen Roland Walker, Singapore Chief of Army Major General Cai Dexian and Philippine Army Commanding General Gen. Antonio Nafarrete among others. In total, 162 participants from 27 countries participated in the conference.

Participants also witnessed a Counter Insurgency Warfare (CIW) demonstration by the Malaysian Army, showcasing their world-class jungle warfare expertise and survival in tropical forests. With a theme of “Forging Synergy: Transforming Multinational Land Power Networks Through Open Fashion Contact”, the conference emphasised the importance of trust-based synergy between countries through open dialogue and strengthening defence relations as well as strategic cooperation between regional land forces to address current and future security challenges.–-shp/adj/dl (Pix:ADJ,MA)
