
AIRBUS Defence and Space is set to deliver the second A400M airlifter to Kazakhstan in the near future, the aircraft was seen painted in Kazakh Air Defense Forces livery and will expand the Central Asian nation’s capacity to transport personnel, equipment, and humanitarian cargo.



According to the company, the aircraft is currently undergoing technical acceptance. The aircraft is the second of two ordered by Kazakhstan in 2021, becoming the ninth operator of the aircraft. The first A400M was delivered in December 2024, arriving in Almaty after a ferry flight from the A400M Final Assembly line in Seville, Spain. Airbus will also provide a full range of maintenance and training support to the Kazakh Air and Defense Forces.
The A400M has been delivered to 10 countries, most recently Indonesia which received its second of two A400Ms ordered earlier in March. Logging more than 200,000 flight hours and capable of carrying out various missions including humanitarian assistance, it can operate on short, unpaved runways and also serves as a multi-role aerial refuelling platform, acting as a force multiplier.–-shp/adj/dl (Pix:AIRBUS)
