ASELSAN to Showcase Innovative Capabilities at IDEF 2021
Turkish defence manufacturer, ASELSAN showcases its latest solutions at the 15th edition of the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF), which will be taking place in İstanbul from August 17 to 20, 2021.
IDEF brings together defence professionals every two years to review the future of defence technology across the land, sea, air, and space arenas.
This year, visitors will experience ASELSAN’s world-class innovations, taking into account the precautionary measures in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. “At ASELSAN, we do not only develop technology to the high-end, but also continues to make a difference with our innovative ideas. This year, we are excited to exhibit our most innovative defence capabilities engaging with our partners. We are ready for new partnerships and invite all of our stakeholders to our booth to discover our cutting-edge technology for the future opportunities”. said Chairman, President and CEO. For the land forces, among the highlights are the ALKAR mortar solutions, PUHU portable direction-finder, DORUK and DRAGONEYE electro-optics sensor systems, and laser guidance kit (LGK), precision guidance kit (HGK) and Miniature Bomb (MB).
ASELSAN also features airborne electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting pods, KUZGUN and CATS, “the eyes in the sky” with high-performance fixed-wing and rotary-wing airborne platforms including Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Not to forget special mission aircraft and airborne solutions.
For the navies, ASELSAN features the new-generation mid-frequency band, hull-mounted active sonar FERSAH, 3D search and surveillance radar CENK, and SeaEye Kırlangıç and SeaEye Ahtapot high-performance naval electro-optics which have been in service with the international customers.
Not to forget is ASELSAN’s signature Remote Controlled Weapon Systems for naval and land forces. Over 3,500 RCWS stations have been successfully deployed to the 35 different land and naval platforms globally, Asia-Pacific nations including Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Philippines who have been employing the SMASH RCWS in the service of their naval forces and maritime law enforcement agencies.
