Malaysia’s Robotics Industry Boosted by Centaurus Technology-Global Component Asia Partnership
KUALA LUMPUR — The robotics industry in Malaysia is set to receive a significant boost following a new partnership between Centaurus Technology and Global Component Asia, a prominent player in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry. The company has developed a strong reputation for providing high-quality MRO services and support for a wide range of equipment and systems.
The partnership with Centaurus Technology is a testament to their commitment to expanding their capabilities and providing even more comprehensive MRO services apart from promoting robotic products and related capabilities in both civil and law enforcement / defence markets, the company said in a May 23 media statement.
The collaboration between the two companies will include research and development efforts to enhance robotic capabilities for specialised services such as surveillance as well as search and rescue. Additionally, the partnership will focus on the development and promotion of robotic services for specialised functions to meet the growing demand for automation and efficiency in various industries.
As part of the collaboration, Centaurus Technology and Global Component Asia will develop a capability for maintenance, repair, and overhaul of equipment to provide after-sales support. This will ensure that customers receive the best possible service and support for their robotic equipment, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience.
This partnership was officially launched through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between Centaurus Technology and Global Component Asia at the recent Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2023. The MOU signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Malaysia Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Home Affairs.
