80,000 T112 rifles for Taiwan military

TAIWAN’S defence ministry has stated that the republic’s army, military police, and reserve forces are set to receive over 80,000 brand-new T112 rifles between 2025 and 2028. It is expected that 25,000 would be delivered initially.

Designed as a replacement of the T91 assault rifles, the T112 would be fitted with 4x magnification optical red dot sight and laser sights.

Additionally, the defence ministry also announced the development of a 6.8mm rifle, anticipated to be ready for evaluation by March 2025.-shp/adj/dl (Pix:MND)
