Roketsan Inks Deals With Indonesian, Italian, Turkish Firms
TURKIYE’S Roketsan has signed several contracts with Indonesia’s Republikorp, Italy’s Leonardo and Turkiye’s Sefine at Indo Defence. Announced by Roketsan’s CEO Murat Ikinci, the deal with Republikorp was for the ATMACA anti-ship missile (ASM) and a joint production initiative.
“These agreements mark a key step in boosting Indonesia’s naval capabilities and advancing local defence industry development,” he added. Additionally, Roketsan also inked a deal with Sefine for the integration of the ATMACA onto two of the Indonesian Navy’s platforms.
The ATMACA is an indigenously designed and produced anti-ship cruise missile that recently attained underwater guided firing capabilities, the ATMACA was launched from a submerged submarine, TCG Preveze during a recent underwater firing test earlier in March. “Atmaca, the steel sword of the Blue Homeland, will now hit its target from under the sea,” said the Turkish Defense Industry Agency (SSB) head Haluk Gorgun after the achievement.

Meanwhile, Roketsan’s deal with Leonardo encompasses the joint pursuit of prospective collaborations and reinforced cooperation in the industry, aiming to build long-term, large-scale strategic collaborations and expand their presences in global markets.-shp/adj/dl (Pix:ROKETSAN)
