EDGE Strengthen Maritime Security Across SEA With Advanced Naval Portfolio
AS maritime security dynamics across Southeast Asia grow increasingly complex, the demand for agile, network-enabled and mission-adaptable naval platforms has intensified. At DSA & NATSEC Asia 2026, EDGE is positioning itself at the forefront of this evolution, showcasing a comprehensive suite of sovereign naval solutions designed to address the region’s most pressing operational challenges, from grey-zone threats and piracy to mine warfare and coastal defence. Central to EDGE’s presence is Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), its naval arm and a regional leader in shipbuilding, repair and lifecycle support. With three decades of experience and more than 200 vessels delivered across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Asia, ADSB has developed sovereign industrial capabilities into export-ready platforms tailored for Indo-Pacific requirements.
At the core of the showcase is the FA-400 fast patrol vessel, a 45-metre platform engineered for high-speed interdiction, coastal surveillance and rapid response missions. Designed with robust seakeeping and capable of speeds up to 28 knots, the FA-400 is optimised for the congested and often unpredictable littoral environments that define Southeast Asia’s maritime domain. Its integrated combat suite includes command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) systems, electro-optical surveillance and configurable weapons including a 30mm main gun and surface-to-surface missiles (SSMs), enabling operators to counter both conventional and asymmetric threats with precision and agility. This capability is particularly relevant in a region where maritime security forces must simultaneously address illegal fishing, smuggling and increasingly sophisticated violent non-state actors (VNSAs). The FA-400’s modular architecture and advanced sensor fusion allow for persistent maritime domain awareness, ensuring operators can detect, classify and respond to threats across a wide operational spectrum.
Importantly, the FA-400 also represents a significant milestone in ADSB’s journey towards sovereign naval manufacturing. Developed and produced within the UAE’s advanced industrial ecosystem, the platform reflects EDGE’s broader strategy to localise high-value defence production while delivering globally competitive solutions. This sovereign approach ensures
quality and supply chain resilience while also enabling flexible customisation for international forces.
EDGE is also showcasing the FALAJ 3 offshore patrol vessel (OPV), a 60-metre multi-mission platform designed for higher-end naval operations. Built with a reduced radar cross-section and enhanced survivability features, including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN)
protection and system redundancy, the FALAJ 3 is tailored for contested environments where stealth and resilience is critical. With a wide range of weapon systems, onboard decoy launchers and ability to conduct operations across air, surface, and sub-surface domains, the FALAJ 3 is a purpose-built solution that closes the gap between high-end patrol and combat capability.
In addition, through pairing advanced combat management systems and integrated sensor suites including radar, infrared and laser technologies, the FALAJ 3 provides a comprehensive “eyes and ears” capability. This enables navies to maintain situational dominance in increasingly congested maritime corridors, where early detection and rapid response are critical to mission success.
EDGE’s focus on next-generation maritime operations is further underscored by the 170 M-DETECTOR unmanned surface vessel (USV), a platform that directly addresses the growing need for autonomous and risk-reducing capabilities. Designed for both manned and unmanned operations, the 17-metre USV offers high-speed performance alongside silent electric propulsion for covert missions. Equipped with retractable 3D multi-beam sonars, 360-degree cameras, and integrated radar and AIS systems, the 170 M-DETECTOR excels in mine countermeasure (MCM), seabed mapping and intelligence gathering roles. In a region where underwater threats and hazards pose significant risks to both military and commercial shipping, autonomous underwater detection capabilities are increasingly indispensable. By reducing the need for human exposure in hazardous environments, the platform also aligns with the broader regional priorities of force protection and operational efficiency.

Rounding out EDGE’s maritime offering is the MANSUP-ER (Extended-Range) anti-ship missile (ASM), providing a critical layer of deterrence and coastal defence. With a range of 200km, sea state adapted sea skimming capability, flexible 3D waypoint mapping and a jamming-resistant active radar seeker, the MANSUP-ER enables precise engagement of surface threats in all weather conditions. Its flexibility to launch from either land or sea also offers Southeast Asian operators a scalable and integrated approach to defending territorial waters and critical maritime infrastructure.
Taken together, EDGE’s portfolio at DSA & NATSEC Asia 2026 reflects a comprehensive strategy to deliver interoperable, multi-domain solutions that align with the operational realities of Southeast Asia. From high-speed patrol vessels and stealth-capable corvettes to autonomous systems and
precision strike capabilities, the Group is addressing the full spectrum of maritime security requirements. As regional navies continue to modernise in response to shifting geopolitical and security pressures, EDGE and ADSB are demonstrating not only technological capability but also industrial credibility. Its emphasis on sovereign design, modularity and export readiness positions it as a compelling partner for nations seeking to enhance maritime security while building long-term resilience.
