The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) turns 62 this June. Although the youngest among Malaysian Armed Forces’ services, RMAF has vast experience in safeguarding the country’s air space, working hand-in-hand with other services and agencies to protect national security–more so with the threat of coronavirus infection which is currently overwhelming the country. ADJ talks to the Air Force chief, General Datuk Seri Ackbal Abdul Samad ahead of the RMAF anniversary where he speaks about the RMAF role in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, the service’s CAP55 force modernisation plan and cooperation with other air forces in the region.
