Malaysian Aerospace Firm AIROD Signs an Exchange of Document on the Programmed Depot Maintenance for the Sri Lanka Air Force C-130

LANGKAWI – Malaysian aerospace firm Aircraft Inspection, Repair & Overhaul Depot Sdn Bhd (AIROD) announced that the company has signed an Exchange of Document with Sri Lanka Air Force. The signing ceremony was held on May 23, 2023 at the recent Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace exhibition in Langkawi, Malaysia.

On Behalf of AIROD Sdn Bhd, Senior Vice President Dato’ Edron Hayata bin Ahmad, National Aerospace & Defence Industries and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshall Sudarshana Pathirana signed the Exchange of Documents with high aspirations for the two organisations to work closely together on the recovery and Programmed Depot Maintenance of Sri Lanka Air Force’s C-130 Serial Number SCH880.

Senior Vice President Dato’ Edron Hayata bin Ahmad, National Aerospace & Defence Industries said, “This programme allows AIROD to showcase its commitment to supporting its international customers regionally and globally.  AIROD’s commitment to Sri Lanka Air Force on quality and safety of flight is paramount and we look forward to support them further in other programmes”

For Sri Lanka Air Force this programme allows them to increase its capacity in logistics and transport within Sri Lanka and regionally.  For AIROD the agreement is in line with its aspirations to spread its MRO footprint around the World.

Located in Subang, Malaysia, AIROD provides aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services to support Royal Malaysian Air Force aircraft.  AIROD has provided services to the US Air Force under a previous US government contract and is an authorised Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules service centre. — nadi/adj/mhi (Pix: NADI)
