Being the most modern naval force in the Asia-Pacific region, the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMDF) has all the capability to perform its missions, be it protecting Japan exclusive economic zone (EEZ), or participating in goodwill and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions.
