Gripen Steals The Show

SAAB’S JAS 39 Gripen E display was the highlight of the show, with delegations and visitors alike not missing out on the chance to have a closer look at the Royal Thai Air Force’s (RTAF) incoming Gripen E/F fighters. The RTAF ordered three single-seat Gripen Es and one two-seater Gripen F with a total requirement of 12 aircraft that will strengthen the force’s one squadron of Gripen C/Ds that have been guarding Thai airspace since 2011. Saab is also actively offering its full package of Gripens, airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) as well as command and control platforms to The Philippines and the region.
