SINGAPORE: The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s (RSAF) Boeing F-15SG jets conducted Dissimilar Air Combat Training (DACT) with United States Air Force (USAF) Lockheed Martin F-35As and conducted air-to-air refuelling (AAR) training with the RSAF’s Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT).

Eight F-35As from the US Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) have been in Singapore since March 1, stopping over in the city-state before moving on to Thailand for Exercise Cope Tiger 2024.

On February 28, the Singaporean government announced a further acquisition of eight F-35A aircraft from its manufacturer, Lockheed Martin. The purchase makes a total of 20 F-35 aircraft ordered by the RSAF comprising the A and B variants to replace the F-16 fleet in the coming years. -shp/adj/dl (Pix:Republic of Singapore Air Force)
