Exclusive Event Line-Ups for EURONAVAL 2022
EURONAVAL returns this year and continues to evolve and develop in format. This year, three conferences dedicated to the geostrategic and technical issues of the naval sector will be held prior to the exhibition.
These events, organised in partnership with renowned think-tanks, will be held on three Mondays prior to the opening day of Euronaval. These events, organised in partnership with renowned think-tanks will be held on Oct 3, 10, and 17. Visitors could expect speakers from high-level French and foreign speakers who will debate on naval and maritime security issues and launch the 28th edition of the world’s leading naval defence exhibition.
Monday Oct 3, 10am: Web conference “War in Ukraine: strategic and tactical maritime insights”, in partnership with the FMES (Mediterranean Foundation of Strategic Studies)
The round table led by the FMES Institute will convene French, Italian, German and Korean researchers and experts. It will draw lessons on strategic and tactical levels of the Russian-Ukrainian naval war. Based on the characteristics of modern naval combat that are identified, it will determine the areas of action required to prepare for potential naval combat of tomorrow.
Monday Oct 10, 10am: Web conference “World Naval Rearmament”, in partnership with the CESM (Centre for Strategic Studies of the French Navy)
In 2022, geopolitical uncertainties, power struggles and the growth of both conventional and hybrid threats, contribute to the need for major naval powers to invest in an efficient and accurate navy. Moreover, new technologies, from military and civilian industries as well, offer new opportunities for navies all over the world to develop their abilities to operate in every warfighting domain. To discuss the trend of naval rearmament, the French Navy Centre for Strategic studies hosts a webinar on Oct 10t with three major international experts.
