Flypast and Naval Display Commemorate FPDA’s 50th Anniversary

SINGAPORE/KUALA LUMPUR: Member nations of the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) deployed their naval assets on the air and waters off Singapore to commemorate the FPDA’s 50th anniversary today. Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen hosted the High Commissioners of Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom as they watched the flypast and naval display together.

The flypast in overcast skies saw a unique mix of combat aircraft – Royal Malaysian Air Force Sukhoi-30MKM, Republic of Singapore Air Force F-16C/D and F-15SG, Royal Australian Air Force Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet, followed by a Royal New Zealand Air Force P-3K2 Orion maritime patrol aircraft.  –shp/adj/aaa (Photos: Singapore MINDEF).
